Day 47.. A serene performance in a beautiful setting

Just 100km outside the buzzing hive of activity that is Shanghai,

where the streets bombard the senses, and the buildings smear out into a mesh of grey sky and concrete,

there sits a tranquil oasis of serenity and beauty, with a merge of the artificial and the natural.

The gardens of Suzhou are a sprawling collection of Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture fused with the irreproachable Beauty of Asian fauna.

Endless bridges straddling still ponds encircled by trees, bushes and flower heads of numerous origin,

each garden segregated by grand walls and majestic archways as opulent and bountiful as the one before it.

Amongst the surplus of palatial pavilions a few performances were taking place,

classical  scores reverberate around the wood and ceramic surrounds,

lifting the atmosphere above the clouds and settling mist on the water.

A single flautist majestically serenades the bountiful gardens and onlookers in one of the many gardens in suzhou
